Engage in physical exercise that will be challenging but that you also enjoy. When you enjoy exercise you are more likely to make a lifestyle change.
When it comes to "dieting" instead of making a complete overhaul each week looks for substitutions for foods that are high in calories, fat or sodium.
Hold yourself accountable. Keep a food journal of what you are eating, at least for the first month of your new "diet" so you can see exactly what you are eating. After a week, you can see your eating habits and can modify your diet accordingly.
Consult with a trainer. Before starting an exercise regimen, ask a professional what they think you should be doing. They can look at your exercise and diet habits, and make suggestions that will help you keep your resolution this year!
With the Holidays meals done, and celebrations in the past, lots of toxins have most likely built in our bodies. This can wreck havoc on our health and immune system. A detox diet can be helpful to rid of those harmful toxins and used as a great way to start off with a "clean" slate.
